We offer affordable accommodation for guests who want to stay close to Roskilde or Copenhagen. We rent out 1-2 rooms in our home for shorter or longer periods - during the summer season, we rent out our entire house on a weekly or monthly basis. Our surroundings are homely, and we strive to create a comfortable experience for our guests.
Location
Our Private Homestay Roskilde is located in a residential area in Himmelev, where you can wake up to birdsong in the morning instead of traffic noise. We are centrally located in Roskilde, which gives you easy access to all of the city's cultural experiences and shopping opportunities. There are quick options for buying groceries/fresh bread at Meny about 300m from our house. There is a small take-away pizzeria in the same building. If you want to go on a larger shopping trip, Roskilde's pedestrian street is only 1.5km away, and RO'S Torv is about 1km from here.
If you are a researcher, visiting lecturer or student with errands at, for example, RUC, Professionshøjskolen Absalon, or Risø, DTU Wind Energy, our location is perfect, as all institutions are easy and quick to get to by bike, bus or car.
Cultural experiences
Roskilde is an exciting and historic city with many different cultural experiences. Visit the impressive Roskilde Cathedral with all the royal graves, or experience the Viking Ship Museum, where you can learn about the Vikings' conquests. Roskilde is also known for hosting Denmark's largest festival, the Roskilde Festival, as well as for Risø research institute and Roskilde University Center. The nature around Roskilde is also impressive with Boserup forest, Roskilde Fjord and Vigen Beach Park.
Close to Copenhagen
Copenhagen and all its possibilities are only a short train ride away. By staying with us, you can avoid crowds of people and city noise and instead enjoy quiet and relaxing surroundings. It is also an economic advantage, as our prices are cheaper than accommodation in Copenhagen.
